Becoming Catholic & Adult Education
The Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA)
The Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA) is the process whereby adults and children join the Catholic faith.
Inquiry sessions for adults provide the opportunity to seek answers about the Catholic Church. Those who will continue after inquiry sessions are further educated on scripture and Catholic beliefs and practices of the faith. The parish has on-going OCIA program year-round.
If you or someone you know is interested in completing sacraments or is inquiring about the Catholic faith, please contact Deacon Richard Donahoe, Director of OCIA, at rdonahoe@smdpcatholic.com or call the SMdP Office at (337) 478-3845.
